Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Possesses an understanding of how technology solutions meet the business outcomes and offers a range of solutions for business partners
  • Participates in sprint planning; provides work estimates to deliver product stories; owns development stories

Engineering Manager, OmniChannel Platform

With our cloud first strategy, this role will create a roadmap & collaborate with our Cloud COE team and ensure that the Omni-Channel selling platform build outs are fully automated and lead the implementation of cloud delivery model and architecture while continuously keeping abreast of cloud solutions offerings and recommend adoptions into the enterprise for PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS solutions. She/he will perform overall capacity planning and forecasting for the cloud while implementing cloud optimization strategies and creating and maintaining cloud deployment architectures.

This role will also lead a team of dedicated Enter Advisor employees and 3rd Party partner team members both onshore and offshore. This position also acts as a functional and technical leader for our digital product teams. The successful candidate must be highly effective and influential in a matrix structure of functional business areas, building teams and IT sourcing strategies. The successful candidate will be a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of building well-architected systems delivery on time and on/under budget, and obsession about the customer experience. Must have a very strong technical background to participate, solution and challenge technical solutions.

Qualified candidates his expected to have extensive experience building product roadmaps, working with product owners to prioritize the backlog, champion progressive thinking and delivering products/tools & capabilities that meet rapidly evolving business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

  • Directly building, managing and leading a team focused on delivering world-class cloud platform capabilities.
  • Recruit, motivate, mentor, and lead the best application engineering talent
  • Define & Review global product roadmap, technical debt & architectural improvements and sequence the delivery of these appropriately.
  • Develop and manage a change management process that delivers consistent cadence coordination and stakeholder acceptance throughout the enterprise.
  • Champion Agile and DevOps as a means to improve operational process and increase velocity of the team.
  • Leading application development and support vendor identification, evaluation, and selection to staff project delivery roles that meet delivery standards across quality, throughput, and budgetary\return-on-investment goals from both internal and external teams.
  • Owning direct accountability for overall project/program delivery of your development teams and vendors ensuring the successful execution and delivery of projects that meet scope, timing, and cost goals.
  • Working with Applications Management teams to deliver overall operational stability of the platform

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL ABILITIES, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, business or related field
  • Prior experience in working with organizational change management/leadership and process change management.
  • In-depth experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.
  • 15 or more years of IT systems experience in one or more of the following areas, with demonstrated progression of responsibilities:
  • Enterprise-scale application management
  • Software product management
  • IT/system product design and product strategy
  • Business process reengineering
  • Organizational development * 5 or more years experience in a leadership role with direct reports and people management responsibilities
  • 5 or more years of experience managing and being accountable for budgets
  • 5 or more years of experience with Agile software development
  • 5 or more years experience in business process and/or technology implementation
  • 5 or more years of experience managing third party vendor relationships and offshore development teams to achieve business outcomes
  • 4 or more years experience at a manager level or above delivering global IT capabilities for a multi-national company with annual budgetary responsibilities
  • An engineering veteran in digital space having worked their way up through the programming ranks, developed great skills and instincts for creating great software
  • Must be a hands-on technical leader
  • The new platform is based on Node, React and JavaScript , NO SQL while the older code bases are monolithic architectures written in HTML, JAVA , JAVASCRIPT on Oracle ATG commerce. The older platforms need to be supported as you create new and innovative versions on the new platform ultimately migrating all functionality to the new platform
  • Working experience with Cloud based technology
  • Expert in leveraging and evolving a Continuous Delivery/Integration pipeline and QA Automation to drive agility
  • Experience with building and managing larger NoSql data store clusters in cloud environment
  • Track record of successfully building and scaling AWS cloud-based systems and managing platforms and applications across multiple data centers

Key Functions: 

  • Implement new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Key Performance Indicators to advance the organization profit and growth.
  • Establish the direction and overall development of Enter Advisor.
  • Develop and implement effective short-and long-term development strategies and lead the development and implementation of account plans and organize the customer activities for integration of Enter Advisor products and solutions.
  • Organize and manage the implementation of the regional marketing policy and expand the presence in the regional sales markets.
  • Work cross-functionally on major new initiatives to build business cases, financial models and pricing proposals to determine the impact on business unit and company P&L.
  • Be responsible for achieving key targets (e.g. volume, price, and mix) for Enter Advisor by proposing target accounts and ensures their achievement with a structured follow-up process.

  • Plan and direct the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
  • Ensure the security of Enter Advisor’s network and electronic documents and assess the costs and benefits of new projects.
  • Research and integrate technologies to upgrade their Enter Advisor’s computer systems and negotiate with vendors to get the highest level of service for the Enter Advisor’s technology.
  • Research industrial and commercial processes of Enter Advisor and provide estimations of the general potential of the company.
  • Identify negative and positive trends in industry trends.
  • Track and analyze key metrics to build opportunities and experiences that create scale and meaningful ecosystem value.
